After 67-yr run, MAD to go off newsstands

MAD, the illustrated humour magazine — instantly recognisable by the gap-toothed smiling face of mascot Alfred E Neuman — will stop publishing new content after its fall issue. The only new material will come in special editions at the end of the year. The satirical magazine influenced everyone from “Weird Al” Yankovic to the writers of “The Simpsons”.
