One giant leap: 50 years ago, humanity's first steps on the Moon

On July 20, 1969, the Eagle module from Apollo 11 landed at Tranquility Base. Hours later, Neil Armstrong made history by becoming the first person to walk on the moon. Thousands of people have been celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing.
