युजवेंद्र चहल (Yuzvendra) को यूएई में हुए आईपीएल 2021 के दूसरे चरण की शुरुआत से एक सप्ताह पहले चेतन शर्मा की अगुवाई वाली चयन समिति ने टी20 वर्ल्ड कप 2021 (ICC T20 World Cup) के लिए भारत की 15 सदस्यीय टीम में नहीं चुना गया था. चयनकर्ता ने कहा था कि वे किसी ऐसे व्यक्ति को चाहते थे, जो तेज गेंदबाजी करे और पिच से गति प्राप्त करे. ऐसे में उन्होंने राहुल चाहर को चुना है.
