भारतीय अंडर 19 टीम ने हाल ही में साउथ अफ्रीका में ही इसी फॉर्मेट का वर्ल्ड कप हासिल किया है. टीम इंडिया पिछली बार टूर्नामेंट के फाइनल में पहुंची थी लिहाजा इस बार वो पूरे जोश के साथ इस ट्रॉफी को अपना बनाकर ही छोड़ेगी. टूर्नामेंट का यह 8वां एडिशन है और एक ही टीम ने सबसे ज्यादा बार इसे जीता है.
