From Christmas trees to fish habitat: Texas gives 160 trees a second life

The year 2024 marked an innovative project at Granger Lake, where more than 160 Christmas trees were creatively transformed into a fish habitat. This initiative, a partnership between Yeti, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, is designed to support smaller fish by providing cover, encouraging the presence of larger sport fish like crappie.
