On This Day: टेस्ट क्रिकेट के इतिहास में आज का दिन यानी 23 अगस्त बेहद खास है. इसी दिन 1938 में इंग्लैंड ने पहली बार टेस्ट की एक पारी में 900 रन (Highest Innings Total in test) का पहाड़ खड़ा करने का कारनामा किया था. यह मुकाबला ओवल (1938 AUS vs ENG Oval Test) में हुआ था. वो तो इंग्लिश कप्तान वॉली हेमंड (Wally Hammond) ने 903/7 के स्कोर पर पारी घोषित कर दी. वर्ना उस दिन इंग्लिश टीम 1 हजार रन का आंकड़ा पार करने वाली पहली टीम बन जाती. तब लेन हटन ने पहली पारी में 364 रन बनाए थे.
